"What’s with you?" he asked her as she sped off, jerking his head back.
"What? You mean the fact that I rushed you out of there, your ‘conjugal’ visit with Ms. Ramirez not up to par?" she asked him, with the mouth again set in an ugly line.
"Hey, none of your business, Elena!" Rollie said, his voice snapping back at her, finding her increasingly interested in his relationship with Angie instead of tracking the possibility of Loubar’s movement in New York.
"My, tell me how you REALLY feel," she replied, laughing slightly and lit a cigarette.
"Angie doesn’t smoke, Elena," Rollie reminded her, looking out the passenger window into the darkness of the warehouse alley they were driving through.
"Yeah, so? Who can see us here?" she replied, as she flicked the cigarette out the window.
"Okay, then take off the mask as well, let’s go back and pick Angie up. There’s something not right here, Elena. What is going on?" Rollie had turned to face her as she pulled the mask off, sighing deeply. She rubbed the glue spots off that were still attached to her face and laughed.
"I guess it is time. I was getting tired of wearing that little perra’s face," Elena told him, throwing the mask out the window.
"Hey!" Rollie exclaimed, angry at her throwing the mask away and her derogatory remark about Angie, "stop the car!"
"I will, in just a moment, Tyler," she said, starting to rub even harder at her face.
Rollie took a sharp intake of breath as he realized she still had another mask on as well. The car came to a sharp halt, with Serrano pulling her face completely off as well as the wig. She pulled her revolver from her shoulder holster as Rollie tried to exit the car and then popped the brown contacts from her eyes.
"I’ll use it without even a blink!" she told him as he thought about rushing her.
Rollie looked at the stranger in the driver’s seat, his mind racing. The eyes were light gray, the hair brown, but it was the same cleft chin, the same bone structure and he realized the same genetic pool. This woman could be Loubar’s twin for all he knew.
"Surprise!" she said, smiling the same smile and showing the same teeth, "Oh, don’t look so shocked. Victor had a sister, you know – a twin sister. We shared many things…"
"I see, so- is your name Victoria?" Rollie replied, nonchalant as she grinned again.
"Actually, the name is Ursula- Ursula Loubar. And yes, I enjoy your humor, Mr. Tyler. My brother, dear Victor is unfortunately unable to enjoy it at this time."
"Mmm, you mean he might be able to later? Is he somewhere close? You got him on ice?" Rollie said, his voice low and angry.
"Ashes to ashes, Tyler"
"So, I did see the real McCoy all smashed like a pumpkin in Spain."
"Victor unfortunately, was too emotional and carried a grudge too far," Ursula replied, placing the gun nozzle against Rollie’s temple.
"You seem all broke up…" Rollie said, sarcastically as he felt the beads of sweat breaking out on his brow.
"Well, that’s the breaks…" she replied, shrugging her shoulders, "but then again, he was my brother." Her eyes misted slightly and she quickly focused herself back on him, cocking the trigger.
"So, where’s Elena?" Rollie asked her, jumping slightly at the sound of the trigger being cocked.
"Ah, another good friend of my brothers’. Let’s just say, she won’t be running anymore FBI investigations."
Rollie swallowed hard. Had she killed Sorrano? Were the two agents at the safehouse in with her?
"You’re worried about your little honey pot back at the safehouse, aren’t you?" Ursula asked him, her voice patronizing him.
"This doesn’t have anything to do with her," Rollie said, defiantly.
"You’re right- I could care less about her ass, although my two friends that are watching her might like to sample it. I just have to give them one word and she would be their main course," Ursula told him, her eyes darting back and forth as she pictured the horror and grinned.
"You Loubars must have been raised in cardboard boxes," Rollie replied, sneering "or definitely too much daytime TV."
"Shut up, Tyler!" she told him then, as a car pulled into the alley. She held the gun to his head as the car approached them and then stopped; the lights being turned off and a figure getting out of the car.
"Who’s joining us?" Rollie asked, watching the man approach.
"Just another family member, Tyler. A face appeared at her window and Rollie blinked as he saw the unmistakable face of Victor Loubar grinning at him.
"What the bloody hell?" he cried out and grabbed the car door.
"He thinks I am a ghost, doesn’t he, Urs?" the man asked her as he kissed her free hand.
"Apparently- of course, he probably thinks our mother and father just had a litter of puppies," the man commented to his sister.
"Frankly, I think he could care less about our family genetics," Ursula replied.
"Oh well, I do so love the family slide show presentation," the man who looked like Loubar said in feigned sorrow.
"What the hell do you want?" Rollie demanded.
"It’s simple, Tyler," Ursula told him as her brother crawled into the back of their car and Rollie’s mouth dropped at the complete likeness to his brother. There was no mask here.
"Yes," replied her brother, "we want to have a little F/X movie making done and we had good references from our late departed Victor."
