The Music Of F/X: The Series

The background music is by Christophe Beck who also does the music for "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" (won a 1998 Emmy for the 1997 episode, Becoming - Part 1), worked on several other television series and movies. The first season opening theme may or may not be a jazz classic. This was mentioned on the forum, but the music was never identified specifically enough to be sure.

Christophe Beck on the music of F/X: The Series - The main title for the first season of FX was composed by me. (I also did a techno version for the second season). It was what you might charitably call "strongly influenced" (at the direction of the producers) by a remix of Herbie Hancock's "Canteloupe Island" done by jazz-remix artists Us3. The pieces do indeed sound similar so I don't blame anyone for being a bit confused. I scored about 90% of the music in the show, with help from Mark [Kilian] as well as those other 3 guys in the imdb listing [Kevin Manthei, Eric Colvin and Adam Berry] when schedules got tight.

Thanks to bluntinstrument for supplying the comments and information from Christophe Beck.
