The FX Movie Challenge
Maureen challenges! Each and every one of you. Appropriately enough, she wants stories based on movies. What movies? Classic movies. New movies. Old movies. Science fiction movies. Monster movies. (Okay, I threw that one in. Rolle made me. <s>) Just so you know, Maureen has laid claim to Star Wars. She says that one is hers. (And I, for one, would never, *ever* argue with her about that. Would you? I thought not.)
In the words of the grand lady herself - ....F/X stories based on well-known movie plots. For example, you could go with classic movies and do a "Maltese Falcon" F/X fic, or a "Philadelphia Story" F/X fic, or maybe "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" entitled "A New York F/X Artist in King Arthur's Court."* (Oh, I can just see Rollie crying, "I will blot out the sun!" *bg*) You could go with later releases too like an "Independence Day" F/X fic where Angie comes up with the virus and Rollie's the one who 'delivers' it. I've already got one that I'm going to do. It is <drum roll, please> Star Wars! Yep, Rollie will be Luke, Angie will play Leia, Han Solo will be played by Leo, Frank will be Chewbacca, Mangela will play Obi Wan, and, of course, Darth Vader will be none other than Victor Loubar. I've already started constructing the plot in my head, and I'll say right now that nobody else is allowed to do Star Wars (F/X Wars). It's all mine! Mine, mine, mine! *vbg*
*Okay, as I suggested and Maureen's agreed to it, instead of "A New York F/X Artist in King Arthur's Court", it should be "An Australian F/X Artist in King Arthur's Court". But in either case, we want your fics! Come on, everybody. Fics! Fics! Fics!
So send your responses!
After all, we want to keep Maureen happy! (And me too! Yeah,
yeah, yeah!) Respond to the challenge! Answer the call! Place our
favorite F/X team and their friendly neighborhood cops into the
heart of a well-known movie plot.
Email your howls, er, responses to the FX Fanfic Hound
