As they headed to the compound with Mira following behind Angie's mother talked about her and what she was like as a little girl. Angie felt very emotional and proud at the same time.

It wasn't long before they where back at the compound and being met by Selena looking at them all with awe, as they were no longer in disguise.

Angie's Mother: Theres something we have to tell you Selena.

Selena didn't have to be told anything she took one long look at Angie then ran right up to hug her and said. "Angela!"

Angie: There's no getting a head of you is there? As she returned Selena's tight embrace.

Angie's Mother: I can't believe it my two beautiful children together as she wept uncontrollable tears.

Hearing all the commotion Rico entered the foyer and asked. " What's going on?"

Angie's Mom: Rico this is my daughter Angela and her friend Mira.

Angie replied with a faint, "hi" as she was so taken aback at how handsome Rico was.

Mira on the other hand came out with a big hello and looked him over like a fresh piece of meat Rico didn't take notice of Mira's long stare, as he was busy looking Angie over from head to toe. This made Angie uneasy, as she wasn't sure where his green eyes would stop. They seemed to be looking right through to her soul. But when they did they where looking directly into hers.

Selena: So Rico what do you think off my big sister?

Rico smiled then said" The family resemblance is amazing, you're as beautiful as the rest of your family."

Angie blushed at Rico's comment then she changed the conversation by saying" I hope you don't mind us being here at this time."

Rico: Your more than welcome to be here! There is no need to feel uncomfortable as strange as everything has been this is still your mother's and Selena's home.

Angie's Mother: Thank you Rico that is very kind of you.

Selena: That’s my big brother Rico as sweet as jellybeans.

Rico threw a short smile to Selena as he replied." If you will excuse me I have some things to tend to."

As Rico left the room Selena turned to Angie and said, " Your sleeping in my room tonight!…. I have a million questions that need answering."

Mira and Angie's mother both laughed at Selena's forthrightness while Angie replied. " Sure why waste anymore time."

Angie's Mother: We should all go sit and have some tea first. You're not the only one who wants to spend some time with Angela. Looking at Selena and shaking her head.

They then went into a huge living room that was chalk full of vases and statues surrounded by huge plants. Before sitting down on a huge sectional Selena walked over to Mira and gave her a hug and said, "Thanks for helping my big sister."

Angie's face glowed with pride when Selena said big sister it just felt so good. She then said," You know Selena… Mira is a police detective back in New York.

Selena: Wow…Mom did you hear that?

Angie's Mother turned to Mira and exclaimed. "I can certainly believe that about you…..you are very special indeed helping Angie the way you have. You should be very proud of yourself and I can just imagine that you are very good at being a detective. It must be a demanding job at times?

Mira: Yeah it is but my job is a lot easier when I have Angie & Rollie helping me. Angie is quite a whiz at the computer and the F/X business.

Selena: F/X? Who's Rollie?

Angie: Rollie is my boss back in New York he took over our father's F/X business.

Selena: Took over?….Why?

Angie gulped as she replied "Our father was killed in an accident on the set of a movie when I was about your age.

Selena: So he didn't drown before I was born either?

Angie replied "no" as she watched the expression on Selena's face change into a very angry state.

Selena: I don't understand why didn't he try to come back to us? Why did you wait so long?

The tone of Selena's voice was very demanding and hurt, which threw Angie into a silent debate should she just come out and tell her the truth. After all Morales didn't deserve any respect that Selena had given him. But if she did it would only hurt Selena and she didn't want Selena to have to go through so much hate.

Angie then fully understood why her mother had not told Selena the truth it was because of her love for Selena and how she wanted the best life for her daughter and for her not to have to waste her life hating Morales. Yeah she could understand that because she spent enough time doing it herself. But now she thought if her mother had seen past the hate and how much simpler life is without it she would have to do the same.

Angie: We where told that mother was dead just like you where told we were. Mira and I just came looking to find more answers we didn't expect to find you or her.

Angie's Mother looked at her with tears in her eyes and said " I'm just so thankful to have you here now…and so very proud of you for being so strong. "

Mira: Whats the old saying mother like daughter?

Angie smiled at Mira and said: A few life lessons from you have been a great help….thanks!

Selena: I'm sorry…..I still can't believe you’re here either. I can't wait until for you to tell me all about our father and the F/X business.

Before Angie could respond to what Selena had just said Rico came into the room searching for Angie's Mother. "I hate to interrupt this great reunion but I need to talk to Amanda alone if you don't mind."

Angie's Mother quickly responded saying "I'm sure Selena will keep Angela and Mira well entertained for a bit." as she left with Rico.

Selena: So what do you think of Rico quite the hunk hey?

Mira: Not bad at all.

Angie: You guy's seem pretty close.

Selena: Yeah we are he has always been very kind to me.

Angie felt concerned for Selena when she talked about Rico in that manner because it was all too familiar to Rollie's and her situation.. She wondered how Rollie was doing now and how he would react to her finding her own family. She hadn't allowed herself to think of him much up on to now but she was quite anxious to show her sister and mother off to him.

Mira: Lucky you!

Selena: Yeah if it wasn't for Rico I would have gone nuts in this place.

Angie's Mother returned and asked to talk to Angie alone then asked Selena to show Mira to one of the guest rooms.

Selena: But Mom!

Angie's Mother: No Butts!

Mira: Come on Selena this old gal is pretty tired.

Angie was a bit apprehensive over what her mother was going to say she wondered what her mother wanted to tell her. After Selena and Mira left she began to explain things. Rico was going to shut down the camera's immediately, then disperse all the security except the guard at the main gate after the funeral, and that they would also be free to go where ever they pleased from now on. But they where also more than welcome to stay it would always be their home.

'Home, Stay, what was her mother getting at?' Angie thought to herself.

Angie's Mother noticed the tension in her daughters face and said." We still have to figure out where our home will be."

Angie had to ask, "Do you want to stay?"

Angie's Mother: I'm not sure, Rico has asked me to consider staying and wants to give me this place along with a considerable fortune…. The thought of being able to help more children is very enticing but you and Selena come first and I have always dreamt about going back to the states and Selena always talks about going to school there.

Angie could tell her mother was trying to get her to explore their options, but she wasn't sure how they could come to a fair decision, so in a very shaky voice she said "I just assumed you and Selena would come back with me to the states, but I can see how feel about helping others."

Just as she was about to say more her mother said, "Angela I won't put you through any more pain Selena and I are going back to the states with you."

Angie: Are you sure?

I can always come back here with Rico once in awhile he has his own plane, he comes to do a clinic twice a month and I'm sure with more financial assistance Sister Claire could hire more help and be able to run things quite well.

Hesitating she then said "What about passports?"

Angie: I can take care of that and well get everything else settled once we get back to New York.

Angie's mother then reached out to hold her hand and said, "This is still very hard to believe you have grown into such a beautiful intelligent person I wish I could have been with you. I really appreciate how you have already protected Selena but wouldn't blame you for telling her about Morales later on."

Angie: I would do anything to protect you and Selena you’re my family….Boy! Its sounds so good to say my family."

Angie's Mother: Sure does……..I think maybe I should go and talk to Selena she may want to talk about Senor Morales, I'm sure you'd rather not want to be in on that conversation.

Angie: No not really!

Angie's Mother: Do you mind waiting here for a bit, while I talk to her.

Angie: No I don't mind, but I think I will go outside for some fresh air.

Angie's mother squeezed her hand and said I'll be back shortly.

The reflection of the moonlight on top of the ocean left a trail of light, which looked like someone has sprinkled diamonds on. The stars where bountiful in night sky. Angie walked out on to the terrace then made her way down the same steps Selena had at the Quinces. She then thought it would be nice to go and sit in the gazebo where they had lunch with her mother. The dew on the roses made their fragrance swell into the air making Angie smile as she breathed it in. She then thought about how her mother had managed to make the place so beautiful under such strange and cruel circumstances. When she entered the gazebo she was startled to see a man standing inside and let out a small gasp.

Realizing it was Rico she said, "I'm sorry I didn't think that there would be anyone here."

Rico: It's hard to resist being out here on such a beautiful night.

Angie: Yeah it sure is beautiful.

Rico: So are planning on staying for awhile?

Angie nervously replied," I'm hoping that my mother and Selena and I can go to New York as soon as possible."

Rico: It must be difficult for you to be here talking to the son of the man who caused your family so much pain.

Angie: Yeah it is rather overwhelming to say the least.

Rico: You know I never liked what my father was doing to your mother by keeping her here like a pet on display……but even I could do nothing to stop it….I'm sorry…..he wasn't right in doing what he did. Amanda is a very strong person keeping Selena from knowing the real reason why my father was holding them so guarded was for his own personal pleasure, she is an exceptional person. Your mother never deserved to be kept like that she is too much of giving and kind person to have her life controlled by such a selfish person……I know it must sound weird for you here this, but I'm glad my father is gone so Amanda and Selena can lead a free life.

Angie was touched by Rico's guilt over something that had obviously been out of his control.

Angie: Selena tells me you have been a great help to her, she really thinks the world of you.

Rico: She's a great kid with a lot of potential, she deserves to see the world. There isn't anything I wouldn’t do for her.

Angie surprised even herself when she asked: "You're sure she hasn't got to much of a crush on you?"

Rico laughed as he replied: "She does tend to go a bit overboard with everything I do….but no Selena knows better than to think of me as anything other than a big brother."

Angie: What makes you so sure?

Rico was taken aback by Angie's questions but thought he should reassure her by saying," Selena is just a kid, I'm grateful that she came into my life if she hadn't my father would never have agreed to let me go away to become a doctor. She and your mother softened the hardest of all hearts allowing me to fulfill my dream and for that I will always be indebted to them and protect Selena as a big brother should…… and I have told her that a zillion times.

Angie could feel Rico's loyalty to Selena in his voice as he talked about her. It hit her that he was a very rare person that reminded her of none other than Rollie, and that he could never think of Selena as anything more than a kid sister nor take advantage of Selena anymore than Rollie could.

Angie: I think I finally understand

Rico: I'm glad to hear it.

Angie couldn't help thinking to herself that she would have to let Rollie know that she now understood about their relationship too. It was Loubar who tricked her into crossing the line that Rollie's loyalty to her and her father would never allow. She remembered how she had first hesitated about having another drink with Loubar/Rollie. How when he kissed her she felt obligated to kiss him back. Then she had gotten lost in the heat of things, it had been awhile since she was that close to someone and if Rollie wanted her that’s the way it would be and was or so she thought. She would always loathe Loubar even in his death for tricking her and causing Rollie and herself so much pain. He was responsible ruining their relationship one that was great as Rico's and Selena's. Angie now understood and accepted where she belonged in Rollie's life and she would have to let him know.

When Angie hadn't spoken in a while Rico asked, "Are you okay?"

Angie: Yeah…..I should go.

Rico: I know that this a lot to ask of you but… I don't want lose the only family I have.

Angie: What do you mean? Looking at him with quizzical look.

Rico: Amanda and Selena mean the world to me,……I just don't want to have them not be a part of my life anymore.

Angie could tell by the tone in Rico's voice that he was being more than sincere and couldn't help feeling touched by his ability to show his feelings, so she quickly answered, "I would never do anything to discourage that…. They're your family too."

Rico: Thank you it is very kind of you to say that. His eyes gleaming as he looked at her.

Tilting her head and smiling Angie replied," No…Thank you for being there for Selena." Before turning to go.

Walking back up the steps Angie felt very good at finally realizing she actually had place in the world she wouldn't ever feel alone again. When she went back into the Mansion her mother and sister came up to her and they all hugged which only confirmed her conclusion.
