Oookay, here we are. Brewery Lane. A bit hard to find, although he gave me excellent instructions. Stop a moment, Luce. Take a deep, cleansing breath. There. Now go on into that alley.
Kind of strange that this small and short alley should have such a high number as 256. Well, who knows how the streets were years (decades?) ago.
Seems like a simple task, and it means good money. The fridge needs to go to the shop; the noise it is making is horrendous. I don’t even want to think what would happen if it quit doing its job completely. Living in New York is not something for a small purse. And although Andi has a new job, there is no reward on the money side, even though that off-off-Broadway ballet is highly regarded in artistic circles.
Besides the money, perhaps I’ll get a role in a good movie for a change. (A movie, a real movie, perhaps even one that will hit theatres. Not those commercials inside a chicken costume.)
Talking of movies, those movie guys are really weird. Always playing
tricks to each other. This one seems to be quite elaborate. Well, they
pay well.
But I’d really like to know what this Tyler guy did to Mr. Donner
for him to devise this “revenge”. Effects people, a special kind of being.
Concentrate Luce, the curtain is falling! You are now Jennifer, Jennifah
Davies from Atlantah. Pretend to look for the address. There it is, the
old factory building. Tyler is not alone, I have to wait. Oh good, the
other one is driving away.
Tyler is looking even better in real life than on the cover photograph,
a real heartthrob. My my, this job might be quite pleasant, a bonus so
to speak.
Before Mr. Donner gave me the photograph I always thought the head of “Tyler FX” would be an old, peculiar man, not this young and handsome guy. He really must be extraordinary in his job to get THIS reputation in the business at such young age.
Okay Luce – ahem, Jennifer. Ready and … Action!
