Hi Frank,

By now you should have gotten an email from Rollie saying thank you. It's so good to see him perking back up. Even if it's just a little bit. He's been discussing a trip to "town" as soon as he gets out of the wheel chair. Doctor Taylor thinks that will be soon. Maybe a couple more days.

Rollie's been busy doing more sketches. I told him how much I liked the one he did of Angie and Bo, then mentioned Sarah and the girls would like some. (Hope you don't mind me saying that, partner.) Anyway, he's set about doing sketches of Mangela, the Taylors, Mrs. T's garden - just about everything he can think of and see. He's planning to sketch some of the Australian wildlife as soon as he can get to the local game preserve. He's trying to talk Angie into taking him (us! He asked me along too.) tomorrow even if he still is in that chair. She's saying 'no' right now, but we can all tell that tomorrow they'll be on their way.

Watching them now, I'm beginning to feel like a fifth wheel. Expect me to be home by the middle of next week latest. For REAL this time. Rollie is much better and Angie continues to ask him to join her in the business. Rollie is still being stubborn and continues to say no, but it's not quite as forceful as it was before. Maybe she'll get through to him yet.

Mangela has been helping Mrs. T with the garden. They want fresh salad and vegetables for dinner. Mrs. T has written out that cookie recipe for a more normal serving. It's very short and I'm not sure how well Sarah and the girls will handle it. They're called 'Highland cookies'. She convered the weights to "American" so it'll be easier for them.

2 pounds of brown sugar
2 eggs
3/4 pounds of butter
1 grated nutmeg
flour enough to make the dough roll

Mix butter and sugar, then the beaten eggs. Sufficient flour to roll out and cut, roll thin. Bake in quick oven.

I have no idea what the directions mean. I hope Sarah does! I think it's some type of test for cooks or bakers.

Well there you go, partner.
Mira

P.S. Did you catch that other bank robber yet?

P.P.S. Where does the nutmeg go?!?
