Angie radioed report on Rollie's condition. Lots of damage to the ligaments, tendons and a torn muscle. They're operating on his knee tomorrow and will keep him at the hospital in Alice Springs for a week, probably. Doctors don't want any weight on his leg. If he's doing okay then, he might be able to return to Docker River. The doctors say it will be at least a month after that before he can make the trip back to NYC. He's facing a long, hard road of treatment and therapy. Doctors aren't sure if he'll make a full recovery yet.

Angie says that's if he wants to return. She's not sure yet. Apparently Rollie is talking to her a bit more, not much. He keeps insisting he doesn't want Tyler FX back. Angie is now asking (badgering?) him about becoming her partner in Ramirez FX. She figures if she can't get him back one way, maybe another will work. Both are stubborn, we'll see which will win. My money is on Angie. She's one determined chica.

Asked Mangela about your kids sending Rollie something. He says to send it care of the publican, Joe Brown, The Pride of The Olgas, Docker River, Northern Territory. Joe will pass it on to Rollie, either personally or by way of Mangela. Maybe it'll help Rollie to feel better. I remember how he is about that beanie baby your kids gave him. I think he brought it with him, actually. I could swear I saw that monstrosity in his bed here. The color is unmistakable.

Will return soon. Leaving by way of Alice Springs. I want to see Rollie again, first. I'll let you know arrival time so you or Tony can meet me at the airport.

P.S. Dingo is slinking around like a... like a whipped dingo with his tail between his legs. Mangela apparently had a harsh talk with him. (Long overdue!) Don't know how long it will last. Dingo's the type that doesn't really ever learn. He's very worried about Rollie and whether his son will forgive him. I told him point blank if it was me, I wouldn't. I also told him, Rollie doesn't have a mean bone in his body and probably will forgive him... Forgetting might take longer. I don't think he'll ever forget THIS!
