Later that evening, Rollie, Roger, and Leo had moved over to the Rollie's loft. After Rollie and Roger found out Angie and Marie were missing, the filming of the movie had been canceled for the day.
Roger was sitting at the couch, head in hands. Rollie was sitting at his workstation messing around with Blue, who was whining in his owner's hands, not wanting to be poked at. Leo was talking to Francis on the phone.
Suddenly Roger's cell phone, that was laid out on the coffee table, went off, startling the three men.
"Hello?" Roger asked, into the phone, as Rollie rushed over to the couch, leaving Bluey to run off and hide.
"Well, hello, again, Roger." The same deep voice that Roger talked to earlier replied. "Are you ready to hear what I want from you to get your dear young sister, Marie, and the young blonde, Ms, Ramirez, who couldn't mind her own business?"
"Yes. Yes. Anything. Just let me talk to them first. I need to know they're alive." Roger told the man, as Rollie and Leo listened in, and tried once again to trace the call.
"Well....... All right. But only for a second. And I'll only let you talk to the blonde." He replied.
"I want to talk to my sister too." Roger said.
"You take my offer or leave it. I'll only let you talk to the blonde. You better take it before I change my mind, Benson. Changing my mind is something I do quite often when I get angered." He told Roger.
"Okay. Okay. Let me talk to her." Roger told the man, anxiously.
Angie was still trying to figure out how to get out of her and Marie's prison of a room. Marie had fallen back to sleep, head in Angie's lap. Angie's head jerked up, hearing someone unlocking the door. In stepped two men, both pointing guns at her and Marie.
"You. Come on. Get up. Your coming with us. Your wanted on the phone." The tallest of the two men, told Angie, motioning for her to come with him. "You stay here." He said to Marie, who now was awake and sitting up, staring wide eyed at the two guns.
"Angie?" Marie whispered as Angie started to get up.
"Don't worry. I'll be back. You stay here." Angie told the young girl,
then followed the two men out of the room and down a dirty, dark hall way.
They then went up a short flight of stairs. Getting to the top of the stairs,
they went down another hall way. This hall way was a lot cleaner and fancier
then the hall way at the bottom of the stairs. Angie had a feeling the
room she and Marie were in was in the basement of a very fancy and large
house. They stopped in front of a room at the end of the hall way. Entering
the room
Angie saw a fairly well dressed man, sitting at a large oak desk, talking
on the phone.
"Here she is, Roger." The man at the desk said into the phone, then pushed a button to put it on speaker phone.
"Angie?" Angie heard come over the speaker phone. It was Roger Benson.
"Roger? What's going on here?" Angie asked franticly, staring at the man at the desk.
"I don't know quite yet. But don't worry we're gonna get you out of there. Is Marie okay?"
"She's fine. Just a little scared." Angie responded.
"Tell her I love her and everything's going to be okay. Okay?" Roger asked, relieved his sister was okay.
"I will. Oh, Roger tell Rollie I plan to have a nice long talk with him about my personal life when I get out of here." Angie asked, knowing full well Rollie was already listening in on the conversation and probably wincing.
At that moment, before Roger could reply, the two men who led Angie into the room, grabbed her by the shoulders and pulled her back and out of the room. The man picked up the phone, saying, "There, Roger, you got your proof that the blonde and your sister are okay. Happy now?"
"For the time being. But I'd be more happy if they were here and not with you, whoever you happen to be." Roger replied.
"If you give me what I want then they will be back with you soon enough."
The man replied. "Now let's get down to business, shall we?"
