Marie looked up, hearing the door open, and saw Angie being pushed into the room. "Angie?! You okay?"
"Yes. I'm just fine." Angie replied, sitting down on the cold floor next to Marie. "I talked to your brother."
"What? He's here?!" Marie exclaimed, glancing over at the door.
"No, he was on the phone." Angie told the young girl. "He say's they still don't know what's going on. But they'll get us out of here soon. Roger told me to tell you he love's you and everything will be okay."
"Well, I sure hope they get us out of here, wherever here is, because I got a Internet chat meeting with some friends for tomorrow night." Marie replied, knees pulled up close to her chest, arms wrapped around her legs.
"I can't believe we still didn't get a bloody trace!" Rollie yelled, throwing the screwdriver he had in his hands across the room.
"What is that name of that place this man wants you to meet him at tomorrow?" Leo asked, ignoring Rollie's outburst.
"At a mall courtyard." Roger replied, handing the detective the piece of paper that the location was written down on. This man that had his sister and one of his special effects people told Roger to meet him the next day to talk about what he wanted from the director.
"We still have no clue if this is Adam Rawlings or not." Rollie said, rubbing his forehead.
"No. But we should know by tomorrow ." Leo replied, pulling his cell phone out.
"I need aspirin. Anyone else need any?" Rollie asked, standing up.
"I'll take some." Roger replied, looking just as miserable as Rollie.
"Hey, Rollie?" Leo called out as the Aussie moved over to the kitchen.
"Yes, Leo?" He called back, looking in his kitchen cupboards for the bloody aspirin.
"Can't you do something to this recording of the phone conversation to find out where it was coming from? Like listening just to the background noises or something?" Leo asked, waving his hands around in the air.
Rollie dropped the aspirin bottle and rushed back to the his workstation.
He couldn't believe he didn't think of it. Though he didn't think of looking
at the license plate either of the van that took Marie and Angie. Of course
when he did look, it didn't help. Mud was covering the whole thing. "We
can sure give it a shot, Leo."
