' Mira… I've got a link to the guys that have Rollie' Angie reported.
' What?' Tony and Mira replied at the same time.
' Stop clowning, this is serious'

Moving back to the van, Tony took the headset and sat down ' This is Detective Tony Rizzo, NYPD'
' We've got three people in here, one wounded.  We'll trade him if you deal'

' It can't be Rollie, he sounded ok.  I think it'll be Spielberg's bodyguard' Angie said, after quickly muting the microphone ' They wouldn't let Spielberg go… he's the trump'
' Ok, let's deal' Tony started.

' Ok, this is what's going to happen' one man said to Tony ' First you're getting us a mobile phone, then you're going to get us a car and park it out front, big enough to hold four.  You're going to back all your people off and we'll leave, then you can come and get the third guy.  If you don't get us the car… and fast… you make certain this guy dies'
I'll get back to you' Tony replied, making a cutting motion with his hand to Angie.

Explaining what they wanted Tony looked at the two women and asked ' Any ideas?  Other than letting them go?'
Mira shook her head, it wasn't an easy situation, the caravan was open all sides but they couldn't close on it without someone inside dying, and she wasn't about to risk that.
' I'm all out' Angie replied sadly ' but I can set up some tracking gear on the car if we give it to them'

Tony looked around, slamming his hand down ' Damn, doesn't exactly make us look good does it?'
' You'll be keeping them alive, for now anyway' Mira answered.

' Ok, you got it.  We're getting you a car, should be here shortly' Tony said into the microphone ' Someone will come to the door with the mobile'
' No tricks or they both die' the man threatened.

' The cops are giving us a car.  Looks like we're taking a little trip' he told them with a grin.
' About time' the other replied.

' Ange, can you intercept the mobile?' Tony asked.
' If they stay on long enough… sure' Angie answered, walking across to the car they'd gotten hold of.

' We could drain the tank' Tony suggested, looking at the car they were using.
' No way Tony, if the car stalls half a block down they'll kill Rollie… and I'm not going to let that happen' Angie answered, placing a virtually undetectable tracker on the car, keying her P.D.A to test it.
' You don't really have a say in it you know'
' Yeah… then find someone else to plant the bugs while I go tell the captain that you're going to get them both killed'
' Can you do anything else to the car Angie?' Mira asked.
' Not quickly enough, what that guy said makes me think that guy in there is in pretty bad shape'
' I guess we don't have a choice' Tony answered, turning and heading back to the command center.

' Who's going to drive the car Mira?' she asked, finishing the last tracker.
         ' I am' Mira answered.
' Don't forget your armour' Angie replied with a smile as they headed back to the van.

' Horton.  Entrance 1… max speed' the man said quickly into the phone before closing it down.
' Smart' Rollie muttered, getting a grin from the man as well as an appraising glance while Spielberg said ' Too fast to trace or intercept'
' Yep' Rollie agreed ' Just hope the boys out there don't have the parabolic microphone set up, or the laser vibration reader'

The man suddenly looked less sure of himself, turning to look at the other man who stood grinning ' He's only teasing you John, normal cops don't carry that sort of equipment'
' It's in my van' Rollie explained, watching the other man's eyes narrow ' but I doubt they're using it yet'
' You better hope so Mr Tyler' John replied menacingly.

' It was too fast Tony, he already had planned what to say, and the other person must know what he means' Angie explained again ' Let's see if the parabolic got anything'

Turning back to the computer, Angie worked the touch screen, bringing the waveform to the fore.  Removing the background sounds she came up with the voice, amplified the amplitude and listened to the call.

         ' Horton?' Angie asked.
         ' Doesn't ring a bell… you Mira?' he asked.
' Nope… is the car ready Ange?'
         ' Yep, ready to go'
' I'll keep an eye on them' Tony answered, stepping outside while Angie turned back to the computer and began searching the police database for the name Horton.

Stopping the car outside the caravan, Mira slid across the seat and pushed the door open, keeping the car between herself and the door.  She'd parked it close enough so that the snipers could get a shot if they didn't use the two men as shields but she suspected they would.

' Bitch, parked the car away from the door, with all those cops we don't have a chance' John muttered.
' No problem' the other man answered, motioning for Rollie to stand up ' Just do what I do' then to Rollie added ' Now don't try anything funny, you've sort of helped us a bit, don't go and make me shoot you 'cause I promise, at this range I don't miss'

Sliding the gun up under Rollie's arm from behind he nestled the cold black muzzle against Rollie's throat and told him to open the door.  Stepping out of the caravan he kept behind Rollie, stopping for a moment and marking the positions of the snipers.  Edging Rollie to the car he turned around and slid in, pulling Rollie down and into the driver's seat.
' You drive' he said, I'll tell you which way.

Following the older man's lead, John made it to the car and pulled Steven in next to him.

' Ok Tyler, let's get out of here.  Turn left up ahead, then the first right' the older man ordered.

' Ok I got a signal' Angie answered ' they took the first right after that left'
' We're on our way' Mira replied, starting the van's engine while Angie was already watching the screen, her earpiece connected to Tony's radio while Mira already had her earpiece in place.

Rollie drove, sticking carefully to the directions the man gave, glancing now and then at the small wire dangling down from under the dash board, luckily from his position, the man couldn't see it.  He smiled as he drove, knowing that Angie would have covered the car with everything she could find in the van.
Unless these guys had shielding, which seemed unlikely, or unless they had a really good setup ready, cops would be all over wherever they stopped about ten seconds after he turned the engine off.

' Back off cops, I see you back there' the man said into the P.D.A, swivelled in his seat and watching the car manoeuvre with them.

' Tony, back off, they’re onto you' Angie said, sending the message to his radio.
' Ok, I'm dropping back' Tony replied, letting the car pull ahead but trying to keep it in sight.

' He's dropping back Clem' John reported watching Tony's car drop back into the traffic.

The older man looked back at Rollie and asked ' You a good driver?'
' I used to do stunt driving if that's an answer' Rollie shrugged, wondering what the man was up to now.
' I want you to lose the cops' Clem ordered.
' Why should I?' Rollie asked innocently, knowing it might be a mistake.
' Ha Ha Ha… if you lose the cops I won't shoot you' Clem replied with a grin, this guy was a regular laugh a minute.
' That's a good enough reason, I've been shot before and I didn't really like it' Rollie laughed, pushing the pedal down and heading down the street at speed.

As Clem directed Rollie, who was driving like a champ, through the city streets, John kept up a steady report, finally announcing that they'd lost the cop car.
' Take the next right… then you'll see an open door on the right, drive in and stop, turn the engine off and pass me the keys' Clem ordered Rollie.  Rollie immediately threw the car into the narrow street, it wasn't often he got to drive the streets like this with a good reason.

Pulling into the deserted warehouse he turned off the engine and passed over the keys.
' Ok, get out' Clem ordered, sliding out of his side his gun still in hand.

When they were all out he motioned them to the side of the building and pushed a small button.  A filthy manhole rose from a corner, the place was otherwise clean leaving no foot prints to the hole.
Motioning them down, John pushed Spielberg forwards when Clem motioned them forwards first.  Moving down, John waited, one hand holding the gun pointed down while the other held to the ladder.

Spielberg stepped down into water and muttered ' What a day to be wearing low-cuts… oh well… what's next I wonder?'
John splashed down into the water next to him and smiled ' Worried about your shoes?  Don't worry, you won't be needing them soon'

Rollie dropped down from above, accidentally knocking John into the deeper part of the sewer.  ' Sorry' Rollie said nonchalantly, watching as Clem landed beside him ' Why didn't you guys get a place over the subway instead?  Real Estate too expensive?'
Spielberg laughed at that, and Clem joined in while John just stood, glaring at Rollie, then Steven, then back at Rollie.

' You’re a smart guy Tyler…this way' he ordered, pointing down the tunnel.
