Rollie threw the last bag of his stuff into the van and headed back inside for one last look around before Angie arrived with Frank and Mira.  He wanted so desperately to see her, but knew that it might do more damage than good.  Sighing his disappointment he looked up at the security camera sitting hidden in the rafters and said plainly ' I love you Angie, looking forward to seeing you again soon sweetie'

That said he turned and walked outside, climbing up into the van and starting for Frank's place.

It wasn't long before Angie arrived with Frank and Mira.  She still felt a bit uncomfortable about coming back here but she needed to keep busy and that meant the alpha.  Heading over she pulled the door open, seeing Bluey sitting there like he'd lost his best friend.  Spotting Angela he barked and his tailed wagged a few times.
' Hey Blue, lights on' Angie called to the little robotic dog.

Lights flickered on overhead and Angie looked around, she could tell that Rollie had left, various items were missing, most obvious a picture of the two of them just sitting together close.  She knew he must be missing her just as she was missing him but until she was sure she could only hurt his feelings even more and that had to be avoided at all costs.

Heading over to the workstation she booted it up and while she was waiting offered Frank and Mira a drink.
' I'll take the couch, you can take the bed Mira' Angie said pouring water into the cups.
' No way, if anyone comes in I'll never hear them sleeping up there' Mira answered ' You get the bed, no argument'

Angie didn't look too pleased but the thought that Rollie had also slept there helped make up her mind, if she was going to put Loubar out of her mind then she had to start somewhere.  Walking back over to the workstation followed by the two detectives, Angela pulled up the program and began her work, reverse engineering it to the basics before she could start re-compiling it to work faster.  Ignoring the conversation the two others were having she got to work.

Rollie waited at Frank's house, he could have picked the lock and been inside in a few seconds but he decided to wait in the van.  The surroundings were comfortable and turning to look in the back he could almost see Angela sitting there, feet up on the console playing away in her few spare moments.
A small smile came at the memory, he was almost starting the engine to head back and see her when Frank's car arrived.

' Yo Rol' Frank said, waving towards the house ' come on in, bring your things'
Rollie grabbed his bag and carried it up to the house, a step behind Frank.
' How is she Frank?' he asked as soon as they were inside.
' I think she's happy that you might have found a way you can be together, Mira told me she was a wreck the other night'
' She wants to see me?'
' Rollie I don't think there's anyone she would rather see, as long as she knew it was you'
' Then I hope Senjari gets those P.D.A's done as soon as possible'
' Me too Rol, I want to see you two back together'

Rollie fell silent, thought's like that only made him feel how much he missed her even more.
' Come on, I'll grab you a beer' Frank said heading for the kitchen.
        ' Got anything to eat?'
' We can cook something up'
        ' Great'

Mira watched from where she sat, Angela had been working all the time since they'd arrived at the loft, like it was so important that she'd miss sleep just to get it finished a little bit earlier.  Thinking of how close the blonde was to her partner she supposed maybe it was that important to her.
Turning the TV on Mira settled in, relaxing but still keeping an eye on her friend, and the door.  After a few hours she moved over to the kitchen, looking through the cupboards for something to eat.  She wasn't a great cook but Angie seemed so engrossed with what she was doing that she didn't want to interrupt her.

' Dinner Ange' Mira called, carrying the noodles in tomato sauce over to the workstation with a cup of tea for the younger woman.
' You didn't have to Mira, this is my place, you're the guest I should have made something.  Guess I'm not the best host'
' I could tell you wanted to get on with this' Mira answered pointing at the screen ' How's it going?' she finished, sitting on a spare chair.
' It'll take me most of today to get to the basics then it's just a matter of putting it back together in better order and removing parts that don't matter'
' Don't matter?  Why are they there then?'
' Well, every programmer has their own way of doing things.  Sometimes programs are created to be fast, other times they're changed to be small.  This was made to run on a large system, so they didn't care about speed or size since their hardware is so fast and vast.  We want to run it on a small system so we redesign it for our purpose' Angie said with a shrug.
' How much will you have to change?'
' Like I said, different systems so it'll be most of it'
' How long before it's ready?' Mira asked and then took another bite from the noodle bowl.
' Maybe a few days.  It'll be close'
        ' Close?  To what?'
' Rollie and I are supposed to start a new movie in a few days'
' I think you should postpone it, or tell them you can't do it, it'll only make it easier for Loubar to get to you'
' We don't even know if he's in the city, besides, this is our big break, Spielberg's directing.'
' Really?  I can see why you don't want to quit.  You going to be able to work with Rollie though?'
' We've worked together a lot Mira, our relationship isn't perfect you know. There have been entire shoots when we hardly talked to each other, we got through them and back together though, just like always'
' Well you'd better get back to it then, if you want another drink or something give me a shout'
' Thanks for staying Mira.  I know you'd rather be out bagging the baddies' Angie finished with a smile.
' Frank's and my partner are working together now, talk about a case of bad cop - worse cop' Mira answered with a knowing smile ' I'd rather be sure you're safe, like Frank.  What does Rollie keep saying… friends'
' always stick together' Angie finished remembering the first time he'd said that to her, when she was a young girl and he'd been virtually her only real friend besides her father.

Mira took the bowls and the cup away and Angie settled back in front of the computer monitor, watching as programming code slid across the screen.

Rollie and Frank finished dinner and after making a short trip to the market for a few necessities and the uni to drop the other P.D.A's off for Senjari headed back to Frank's wondering what to do.
Frank retired early, he'd had an early morning and Rollie lay on the couch, preferring it to taking one of the other beds.  His mind kept him awake, a more troublesome opponent Rollie couldn't imagine, but he kept the knowledge in the front of his mind.  If he had a chance, if he even spotted Loubar he'd chase him to the ends of the earth and would kill him any way he could so that Angie would know once and for all that he was himself and that he loved her.

Mira finally persuaded Angela to go upstairs to bed, it was almost two in the morning and even she was starting to have trouble keeping her eyes open.  Watching as Angie made her way up the steel staircase Mira sat down on the couch and pulled the covers over her.

Angie climbed into the long, soft bed.  It was different from her own but she’d slept on it before tonight.  She lay there, the memories of Loubar for once not troubling her.  She could see Rollie lying there, there had been times when he was sick or had been injured that she’d treated him in this same bed, and equal times when he’d been the one sitting close by watching over her.
These memories were so much more profound, meant so much more than Loubar’s that she held onto them, banishing the others for the first time in weeks.  Slipping her hand under the pillow to rest her head on it she could feel Rollie’s boxers, accidentally left there, or maybe not.  A reason to return maybe, to accidentally come to see her?
A thought crossed her mind and she promised herself that in the morning she’d look into it.

Night was the time Viktor Loubar enjoyed the most, it seemed to fit his character like a glove, or a custom made suit.  He’d been busy, not only with the Tyler/Ramirez thing, though that was more fun than work.  Several shipments meant for the naval shipyards had disappeared, sold off to the highest bidder.  He loved his job, sneaking across the world making money, dealing in death when it would solve a problem when bribes failed.
He met with an acquaintance, a man almost as unfeeling as himself.  The man had been a Navy Seal, dishonourably discharged for torturing a civilian for information.  The man now worked only for money, he was building Loubar a nice little device, he’d built the bomb in the car as well.  Planning ahead was second nature to Loubar, he needed too in order to stay ahead of his pursuers.
‘ Will it be ready soon?’ Loubar asked.
‘ Hey, it’ll be ready when it’s ready.  Just keep to the timetable you told me and everything will be fine’

Viktor was tempted to kill the man right there and then, his arrogant replies were starting to push his control.  Turning he strode from the building, checking up and seeing that the FX van had disappeared but that the female detectives car was now parked outside.  He wondered what had happened, he’d seen Tyler and Gatti leave Angela’s apartment and now guessed that Angela had returned to the loft, probably to get ready for the upcoming movie.
He smiled a dark smile as he realised Tyler had left so that Angela could be there, his plan was working better than he’d ever dreamed so far, he couldn’t wait to see the final results.
