Anyone remember my story "Leo's Legacy"? Couple of people commented when I did finally get that story finished that I should write a few more letters from Leo to his daughter. <grin> Here's one...

Oh, and do you think you can guess which episode I finished watching tonight. <silly grin>

A Letter From Leo...

Dear Michelle

Today has been a long day... It started when we fished a body out of the East River. I'm a homicide detective for the NYPD - fishing bodies out of rivers shouldn't bother me. Well, maybe it should, maybe I'm getting too hard to do this job anymore. All I know is that the kid was probably only a few years older than you and he was a friend of Angie's. He was murdered - mob style, single gun shot, and no hands.

Poor Angie - she had a long night. One of her friends is dead, another in hospital in a coma (mind you, she is showing signs of recovery), and a third in jail for crimes related to what happened to the other two. And Angie herself was kidnapped. I tell you, the Mob and their affiliates make me so angry sometimes. We work so hard to clean up the streets and they just step in and ruin the lives of good kids like Angie and her friends. Angie's probably in shock, she'll need her friends close by for a while - particularly Rollie I think. Rollie was just about beside himself when we realised Angie was missing. Mind you, the poor guy thought she had been hit by a cab, turned out she had been mistaken for her friend Yvonne, and it was Yvonne that had been hit by the cab.

I guess I just want to say to you... Be careful... be careful of the friends you make, and do your best to keep yourself and them out of trouble.

All my love...

Your Dad
