Jeff studied Rollie. "So . . . are you and Angie, um, together?"

"Yes," the Aussie replied quickly.

Hiding a  at Rollie's hasty reply, Angie said, "Yeah, we're together. She put an arm around her 's waist, ging him. Rollie responded by returning the  and ing her. He was going to make darn sure that Jeff knew where things stood between him and Angie.

When Rollie turned back to the younger man, he couldn't help but notice the faint look of  on Jeff's face. Clearly, Jeff was attracted to Angie, which must mean that the woman he was with was only a . Or was she? The Aussie noticed ness in her eyes as she looked at the young man. It appeared that this was a case of unrequited . It made Rollie feel very grateful and  that Angie returned his . It also made him more aware of how  and  Angie must have felt all these years thinking that Rollie didn't  her the way that she ed him. Feeling  that he'd put her through that, the Aussie promised himself that he would do everything he could to make it up to her.

"Um . . . well, we'd better get going," Jeff said, his  a little forced.  "We just got here, and we have lots more to see. It was nice seeing you again, Angie."

"Same here, Jeff," Angie responded.

Jeff and Linda said goodbye, then walked away through the crowd.

Angie turned to Rollie. "You were !" she accused him.

Rollie opened his mouth to deny it, then paused. Why should he hide it? "Yeah, I was. It's obvious that he has a thing for you." 

A  spread across Angie's face. She reached up and ed him. "I like it that you were . It makes me feel good to know that you care like that.  And since this is confession time, I'll tell you that I was  with  when Dani showed up. 

Rollie ned, then ed. "Yeah, I know. I thought you were going to claw her eyes out for a second there." 

Angie punched him in the arm. "I wasn't THAT bad."

Rollie ed again, then ed her. He glanced about at the crowd. It was a lot heavier now than it had been when they first arrived. He bent down close to Angie's ear. "How about if we leave and go someplace where we can be alone," he whispered, giving Angie the kind of look that only  give.

Angie ed, her  suddenly beating faster. She ed into her 's eyes. "I'd  to," she replied huskily.

Taking her hand, Rollie led Angie out of the building.
